I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated JoshuaโFury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
